Innovation in Care Sector
Innovation is basically about finding new ways to solve old problems.
Innovation in care sector implies finding ways we can deliver ‘more with less’. More care and time with people. Less cost and less time wasted.
Innovation is of two categories broadly speaking:
Product innovation which relies on technologies and business model innovation which relies on system thinking and commercialization acumen.
System thinking is the focus where much of the low hanging fruit lies. We can innovate by looking an individuals journey through their old age. It is not in isolation. Health and care both go hand in hand. While NHS is free at the point of use, the same is not true for Social care.
The two systems must work together and deliver a system approach where individuals can move seamlessly between NHS and Care. This can be highly facilitated by digitization at scale. Modern digitization tools are enabling cross sector collaboration, bridging the gaps and empowering individuals.
In our model of Care Marketplace we have envisioned a system where data can be used to overcome the gaps and reduce waste. We believe such an innovative model is feasible with current technology and we are continuously researching avenues to bring our solutions to market.
If you work in NHS or social care and would like to know more how we can collaborate then do give us a shout ! We are always open to new ideas.
